Johnson County Community College

Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is the third largest institution of higher education in Kansas and the largest of the state's 19 community colleges. JCCC offers a full range of undergraduate credit courses and has more than 100 transfer agreements with area colleges and universities. In addition, more than 50 one- and two-year career and certificate programs prepare students to enter the job market in high-employment fields. top »

KCADC is a private, non-profit organization charged with representing the economic interests of the entire bi-state, 18-county region of Greater Kansas City. The Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute (KCALSI) is a non-profit organization assisting with the transformation of the KC region into a center of excellence in life sciences research and development, and commercialization. The Kansas City Metropolitan Healthcare Council is a regional office of the Kansas and Missouri hospital associations. Metropolitan Community College (MCC) operates five colleges in Missouri: Blue River, Business and Technology, Longview, Maple Woods, and Penn Valley. The Dept. of Economic Development (DED) administers an array of programs designed to enhance Missouri's economy in the 21st Century. It comprises agencies that execute statutory requirements and department policy in the areas of community, economic and workforce development. MO Division of Workforce Development

The Division of Workforce Development (DWD) and its partner agencies collaborate to implement innovative workforce solutions that support a dynamic economy, foster profitable businesses, and provide rewarding careers for Missourians. The Northwest Workforce Investment Board—North Central Missouri College) is an appointed group of community leaders responsible for developing and directing employment-related opportunities. OneKC Regional Workforce Council

The newly formed OneKC Regional Workforce Council serves as a regional advisory body to position the public workforce system as a relevant talent-development pipeline for business and economic development across political jurisdictions in the 18-county bi-state region. The Council is transforming random acts of excellence within the public workforce system into a common skill development brand that supports sustainable talent pipelines in advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, and healthcare throughout the region.  top »

PREP-KC

Guided by the belief that the quality of education for KC's urban youth impacts the quality of life throughout our region, the Partnership for Region Educational Preparation-Kansas City (PREP-KC) works with the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools and the Kansas City Missouri School District to develop, leverage and deploy resources to improve outcomes for all of KC's youth. PREP-KC's goal is to increase college-going and access to high-quality employment for more than 47,000—mostly low-income students—served by the two districts. top »
